Vacating the Property

Notice in Writing

When you intend to vacate the property, in all instances we require your notice in writing. Please complete the form linked at the bottom of the page and submit.

Ending a Fixed Term

If you are leaving at the end of your current fixed term lease, we require at least 14 days notice in writing. Please note that this amount of notice needs to commence when we have received your notice, not when it was posted to us.

Ending a Non-Fixed (Periodic) Term

If you are leaving on a non-fixed term (periodic) lease, we require 21 days notice in writing. Please note that this amount of notice needs to commence when we have received your notice, not when it was posted to us.

Breaking a Fixed Term

Should you wish to leave during a fixed term lease, we require your notice in writing. We are unable to accept your intention verbally.

In the case of breaking a fixed term lease, the following costs will be incurred:

As per Residential Tenancy Regulation 2010

Section 42. The tenant agrees that, if the tenant ends the residential tenancy agreement before the end of fixed term of the agreement, the tenant must pay a break fee of the following amount:

Section 42.1 if the fixed term is for 3 years or less, 6 weeks rent if less than half of the term has expired or 4 weeks rent in any other case.
